When I was five years old I wrote a story about Thanksgiving. It was a controversial piece where I brought up my excitement for the holiday, then after witnessing a farmer shoot the turkey I was about to eat I declared, “The turkey is gone, my appetite is gone.” After I made a decision: I want to be a writer. Being a writer means this: you need to write and you need to show people your writing.
Writing brings me so much fulfillment. It’s not something I find easy but instead something I find so challenging that it thrills me.
